Steel Beams
The steel beams are delivered and are lifted into the loft where they will be used to strengthen the floor.
In some cases an architect may specify wooden beams to be bolted to the existing beams as being the most appropriate method of strengthening the floor.

Floor Beams
The new floor beams are placed into position in order that the floor, once layed, is capable of supporting the extra weight required.

New roof supports are erected, and the old ones taken out to free up living space in the loft.
